Curing burnouts

Many of us all over the world have seen our work changing drastically in the last couple of years since the pandemic. For a large majority, the work has become more stressful. People all over the world are rethinking their work, life and their relationship with both. Since last year, there is a trend of Great Resignation, though it is primarily in the USA, it is catching up all over the world.

The work stress and burnouts are real, and they are increasing at an alarming rate. The twin sisters Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski discuss burnout and its cure. Their discussion is based on the first-hand experience of burnout of Amelia Nagoski. This is a small excerpt –

One of the things I say over and over, we say it over and over in “Burnout,” is that feelings are tunnels. you have to go through the darkness to get to the light at the end, right? Feelings are tunnels. Stress is a tunnel. You’ve got to work all the way through it. Not that the stress is bad for you, it’s getting stuck in the middle that is bad for you, never having an opportunity to take your body through the cycle.
