When I first watched this short-film ‘Alike’, it left me disturbed, and those impressions stayed for a long time. The frames from this film haunted me when I spent long hours in the office during one demanding assignment that I had taken up couple of years ago.

Alike (2015) is a beautiful animated short film (~ 8 mins) about father (Copi), son (Paste), their daily routine, and what brightens their days. It is a silent film with minimal details, colors and sound, but whenever these elements show up, they make the frames come alive. Watch it here –
Cat’s in the cradle…
‘Cat’s in the Cradle’ is an old rock song by Harry Chapin (1974), although I have only seen & listened to its famous cover version by Ugly Kid Joe (1992) as a teenager, and I have loved it ever since.
